Meet Dr. Sasthri

Born in Sri Lanka and raised in Japan, Dr. Sajini Sasthri spent her formative years in Tokyo before moving to California for college. She attended UCLA for her Bachelor’s degree in Science and moved to London for her Master’s degree in Public Health. While she was always drawn to healthcare, dentistry stood out to her as a field that was both exciting and humbling, which brought her to the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduating with honors, she returned to California, completed a general dental residency with the University of the Pacific and worked as a general dentist. During this time, she found endodontics to be the most challenging due to the high degree of technical detail involved and the most gratifying, so she decided to specialize. She completed her specialty residency in endodontics at Tufts University in Boston, where she and Dr. Penn met. Dr. Sasthri is a clinical faculty member at the University of the Pacific and enjoys working with residents to help them become proficient in endodontics. She achieved board certification, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, which is the highest level of qualification within the specialty. Dr. Sasthri looks forward to providing high quality, compassionate care to her patients. 

Outside of the office, Dr. Sasthri loves traveling, yoga, eating and spending time with her husband and two sons.
